The Birch Bower is a clean rectangular arch built from real birch — two upright posts and a straight crossbar top. The bark is left on, so the raw texture keeps a very simple silhouette feeling warm rather than austere. Because it is natural wood, there are imperfections: the mottling and the taper of each pole are particular to the tree it came from.
It is the most flexible frame we rent. Left bare it reads clean and modern against aspen, pine, or open sky. Dressed, it takes trailing greenery along the crossbar, dried pampas at one corner, or a full floral install without the frame disappearing underneath. Couples working with a florist often ask for a single asymmetric cluster at the upper left, which is the least expensive way to make a birch arch photograph well.
The rectangular shape is worth thinking about for photos specifically. A straight crossbar gives your photographer a horizontal line to compose against and a clean rectangle to frame you inside, which is more forgiving than a curved or peaked top when the ceremony site is uneven or the background is busy.
